Celtic Insurance Company began operations in 1978 as a broker, insurance and reinsurance company for group life and health coverage. Today, the company has narrowed its focus to the individual health marketplace.

- a short-term health insurance plan, which is designed for individuals who find themselves between jobs or waiting for permanent employer-sponsored coverage;
- a high-deductible health insurance plan, which is designed to work with tax-advantaged health savings accounts (HSAs); and
- Medicare supplement insurance, which is designed for people who want supplemental coverage to fill gaps in their Medicare coverage.
Celtic's Special Health Product division also offers post-employment benefits through its conversion coverage program.
