Established in 1985, PacifiCare of Oregon is one of the state's leading federally qualified managed care organizations, offering a variety of products to meet diverse needs.

It currently provides service in the following countries: Benton, Clackamas, Columbia, Lane, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Washington and Yamhill.

PacifiCare of Oregon's coordinated system of care is designed to offer quality care cost-effectively. PacifiCare works closely with contracting physicians who provide quality care to its members. Its managed care plan includes a broad range of built-in wellness features, including routine health evaluations; well-baby and well-child care, including routine immunizations; and a health pregnancy program.

In additional to managed care plans, PacifiCare of Oregon offers a plan called “Secure Horizons” for Medicare beneficiaries.

The company has been awarded “excellent” accreditation status from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), an independent non-profit organization that evaluates managed care organizations throughout the country.

PacifiCare of Oregon is a member of PacifiCare Health Systems, which is the nation's fifth largest managed care corporation and has the largest Medicare-approved HMO membership in the country. It serves more than three million health plan members and has annual revenues are more than $12 billion.
